FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas hopes to end the longest losing streak in school history when it hosts Football Championship Subdivision opponent Nicholls State on Saturday.
The Razorbacks have lost 10 games in a row dating back to last season, the longest stretch for the school since a seven-game slide in 1990.
Led by an emerging offensive line and the running back trio of Alex Collins, Jonathan Williams and Korliss Marshall, they were tied with No. 6 Auburn at halftime last week before falling 45-21.
Despite the losses, coach Bret Bielema has remained steadfast in his belief that the talent level and overall performance has improved in his second season since leaving Wisconsin.
He’ll have the chance to show that against the Colonels, who have lost seven straight games.
